Flatwater Surf Club, what was formerly known as a company, is a preservation group of likeminded folk striving to preserve our South Jersey surf scene and culture. Adopting the title of “Club” over “Company” was a step into a more inviting direction for us. FlatWater Surf Club is here for those who paddle out just to paddle out. No matter the conditions, if the stoke is there, there’s waves to be had. FlatWater is also for everyone who just loves surfing, art, music, and our NJ beaches. We are the ones who spend our years here on the south Jersey shorelines, working the shops, hustling, surfing, creating, & taking care of our local land.
Starting back in the early winter of 2020 we were a non-profit beach cleanup organization, a small group of friends who loved to surf & hated seeing our home, the beaches, & our ocean so trashed. So we set out to put cool art on shirts to raise money for beach cleanup supplies & donations for the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, NJ. With life just getting in the way FlatWater came to a halt & began to trickle away, but with 2023 coming to an end, this world is in need of good people & unity more than ever… so let’s do this again!
Going forward our goal is a storefront, an umbrella company to many others, Kneepatches our founder & artist, a cafe to serve our crew, a thrift to dress them, a stage to jam & connect, a surf shop full of locally shaped surfboards & locally, ethically sourced products for all of your surf shop needs.
